  1. Services and Responsibility
    I
    provide a service where I check on your home while you are on vacation. Additionally, I ensure your home is opened upon your return. While I perform these tasks with care, you use my service at your own risk.

  2. Liability
    I am not liable for any damage, loss, or theft that may occur during your absence, regardless of the cause. This includes – but is not limited to – damage due to burglary, leaks, fire, weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events. You acknowledge that my service is supplementary and does not replace professional security measures or home insurance.

  3. Key Management
    I will handle your house key with care and discretion. However, I am not responsible for loss, theft, or misuse of the key by third parties. You provide your key at your own discretion and responsibility. If the key is lost while in my possession, I will inform you immediately and assist in taking necessary precautions, but I am not liable for any resulting damage or costs.

  4. No Guarantees
    While I strive to offer peace of mind, I cannot guarantee the complete security of your home or belongings. My role is supportive, and it remains your responsibility to secure your home adequately before departure and maintain active home insurance. Additionally, you must provide clear and accurate instructions regarding your home and any specific requirements. You should also inform me of any vulnerabilities, such as malfunctioning locks or alarm codes, that may affect security.

  5. Payment and Refunds
    All services must be booked and paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed. Payments are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the scheduled service. If I am unable to fulfill a scheduled service due to unforeseen circumstances, I will notify you as soon as possible and offer either a refund or rescheduling of the service.

  6. Emergencies
    In case of an emergency such as a fire, burglary, or major water leak, I will take reasonable steps to minimize potential damage, including contacting emergency services or your designated emergency contact. However, I am not responsible for any related expenses, including emergency repairs or service call fees.

  7. Confidentiality
    All personal information, house details, and key access codes provided to me will be treated with strict confidentiality. I will not share this information with third parties unless required by law or in emergency situations.
